Today is going to be a great day. Not only is it Friday, but I just got this email from Bill and Marina whom I shot the reception pictures a few weeks ago.
Hey Kay – I just wanted to thank you again for being our photographer. The pictures and the slideshow are incredible and we are so glad we had you there to help capture our special day. You have a very special gift and it is very obvious when looking at your work…thank you!!!

Thanks Bill!
So I just found out I’ve been demoted from being the Maid of Honor at my brother’s wedding. Thank God! I hate shopping, especially for dresses. I get headaches and tired easily. Now shoe shopping is another story. I love shoes. Most of them I buy and never wear. Different occasion calls for different shoes and I need to have it on hand just in case, right? Tell that to my mom.
My sister got me these shoe from Black and White before she went off to Germany. So comfy and elegant looking!

So I am now officially an appointed Aunt Bobette. For those who don’t know, an Aunt Bobette is a family member or friends of the bride and groom who takes pictures even though there is a hired photographer. I’ve heard horror stories of an Aunt/Uncle Bob constantly getting in the professional photographer’s shots and competing for the bride and groom’s attention. Being in the business myself I totally understand the situation. So as a rule, if I attend other people’s wedding as a guest, I leave the professional camera at home and bring my point and shoot camera for fun shots as memory. Sometime I don’t even bring it. Now since this is my own brother’s wedding, the gear is definitely coming with me. I’ve been told I got ninja paparazzi skills so people don’t even know I’m taking their pictures. It all comes down to communicating and respecting the photographer and I fully intend to do that.
In two weeks, Las Vegas here I come!

Pet photography….never though much about it until I volunteer to help take pictures of one of the winner for SEI’s employees pet photo contest. Mark and Lori’s pet, Bella was the winner.
Is she not a cutie pie?

We decided to do the portrait session at Lower Perkiomen Valley park since Bella needs to be on a leash at all times and there are plenty of spaces for her to run.

Mark and Lori, thanks for being such an adventurous couple. I hope you approve of the song I picked ;o)
